In 2017 and 2018, the Puget Sound region experienced wildfire smoke events caused by fires in the Pacific Northwest region and beyond. These events raised concerns about the potentially harmful effects of wildfire on our health, communities, and ecosystems.

Hosted by the Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative, this three-part webinar series discussed what has changed in terms of wildfire preparedness as a result of the 2017-18 wildfire smoke events and aimed to answer the following questions: What are communities doing to plan for and respond to wildfires? And what is being done to ensure that residents stay safe and healthy?
